JOB SUMMARY

The IT Business Analyst translates business needs into effective IT solutions by designing, supporting implementation, and testing of applications. Acting as a bridge between business and IT, the role ensures scalable, sustainable, and cost-effective outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Aligning and challenging business stakeholders’ expectations.
2. Leading data analysis, planning, design, and implementation of internal or vendor-led IT solutions.
3. Defining the right approach, timing, cost, and expected results for each initiative.

Success in this role requires strong process analysis, functional design skills, continuous learning, and a solid background in IT system integration.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build trusted relationships across Commercial, Operations, and Voyage Controlling.
• Support feasibility studies and ROI evaluations.
• Gather, analyze, and define robust, compliant, and scalable IT requirements.
• Create design documentation and functional specifications.
• Design user interfaces and integration requirements.
• Collaborate with development teams and support testing/training.
• Drive change management and solution adoption.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT consulting within international environments.

• Strong business acumen and system integration knowledge.
• Excellent analytical, planning, conceptualizing and problem-solving abilities.
• Great communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, assertive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
• Agile team-player with empathy and ownership.
• Familiarity with IT implementation methodologies (e.g. Prince2) and task planning tools.
• Experience mainly with IMOS, application design tools (e.g. FIGMA) and data modelling (e.g. SQL Data Modeler).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Fluent in English, Italian is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree in Engineering Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
